On November 10 and 11, WLL lawyers from the U.S., Canada, Brazil, and even a Japanese lawyer met with some European members of the WLL Board of Directors in beautiful Vancouver after a short seaplane tour. Topics included measures to address the housing affordability crisis by protecting the local housing market from foreign investors and vacant homes, the Canadian view on international trade, and, surprisingly, succession law (ordre public and testamentary freedom), with a lively discussion.
