In its decision of July 2, 2025 (17876/2025), the Court of Cassation ruled that the provision of Article 120(1) of the Italian Code of Civil Procedure, according to which Italian is the mandatory language for the entire proceedings does not apply to so-called preparatory legal acts; powers of attorney may therefore also be drafted in German, for example.
