New “EU Inc.”?

New “EU Inc.”?

European lawmakers are not giving up on the plan for a uniform small corporation in the European Union. The model currently under discussion bears the working title “EU Inc.”

The planned legal framework is intended to cover all phases of a company—from its formation to its dissolution. The EU Inc. is to be structured as a limited liability company and can be incorporated entirely digitally within 48 hours. A legally required minimum share capital will not be necessary. It is intended to exist alongside national corporate forms and be recognized throughout the European Union. The incorporation fees are not to exceed 100 euros.
