In September 2025, the Italian government passed the new professional code of conduct for lawyers (Riforma della professione forense). Among other things, it strengthens attorney-client privilege, allows lawyers to practice with representatives of other professions, enables lawyers to become managing directors or board members of corporations in the future, and much more.
